Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A Crowned Champions At Triple Crown World Series

Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A were crowned champions at the Triple Crown World Series on Saturday in Park City Utah. Following a strong showing at Canada Cup in Surrey BC where Fusion were the last Canadian team eliminated after defeated Delta Heat 2001A 10-3 then falling to the Sundogers 3-1 Fusion traveled to Park City for the Triple Crown World Series. Fusion got off to a slow start in pool play dealing with jet lag, high altitude and high temperatures and were placed in the bronze division for the World Series playoffs. In the playoffs Fusion were dominant capturing five consecutive wins to sieze the championship. Fusion had wins against Sol Cal Darkside 9-8, a no-hitter win over Nevada Hotshots 6-0, an 8-2 win over Arizona Force in the quarter final, a 4-2 win over Silicon Valley Fusion in the semi final and a 17-7 win in the championship game to clinch the World Series title. 

Fraser Valley Fusion Clinches Lead In Fourth Inning For Victory Over Nevada Hotshots In Triple Crown World Series Championship 
Fusion defeated Nevada Hotshots 17-7 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at seven with Fusion batting in the top of the fourth when Shaneika Hollingworth singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Hollingworth collected five hits in five at bats to help lead Fusion to victory. Hollingworth hit a monster grand slam in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, singled in the fifth, and singled in the sixth.
Fusion got things moving in the first inning, when Hollingworth homered on a 1-0 count, scoring four runs.
In the bottom of the third inning, Nevada Hotshots tied things up at seven.
Fusion pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning.
Fusion tallied five runs in the sixth inning. Madison MacGillivray, Carlie Lawrence, and Mya Galbraith each had RBIs in the frame.
Lindsay Bell earned the win for Fusion. She went three and a third innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out six and walking one.
Hollingworth started the game for Fusion. She allowed four hits and seven runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two
Fusion hit two home runs on the day. Galbraith went deep in the sixth inning. Hollingworth had a homer in the first inning.
Fusion scattered 20 hits in the game. Hollingworth, MacGillivray, Maggie Tomlinson, Galbraith, and Lawrence each had multiple hits for Fusion. Hollingworth led Fusion 2002A with five hits in five at bats.

Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A beat Silicon Valley Fusion 4-2 on Saturday at the Triple Crown World Series to take the semi final game.
Fusion fired up the offense in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Fusion.
Fusion pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Mya Galbraith singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run and Shaneika Hollingworth singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Lindsay Bell pitched Fusion to victory. She allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out six.
Tori Kover started the game for Fusion. She surrendered two runs on two hits over one inning, striking out two and walking one
Fusion totaled eight hits in the game. Galbraith and Madison MacGillivray all collected multiple hits for Fusion. MacGillivray and Galbraith each collected two hits to lead Fusion.

​Big Third Inning Propels Fusion Win Over ARIZONA  Force
A six-run third inning led Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A to an 8-2 victory on Saturday. Fusion big bats were led by Mya Galbraith, Shaneika Hollingworth, Izzy Nicholson, and Maggie Tomlinson, all driving in runs in the frame.
Fusion pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Galbraith singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, the Force pitcher induced Hollingworth to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Nicholson homered on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs, and an error scored one run for Fusion.
Hollingworth was credited with the victory for Fusion. She surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out three.
Fusion tallied one home run on the day. Nicholson went yard in the third inning.
Fusion racked up 11 hits. Carlie Lawrence, Nicholson, and Lindsay Bell all managed multiple hits for Fusion. Lawrence led Fusion with three hits in three at bats. Fusion was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Madison MacGillivray had the most chances in the field with four.

Lindsay ​Bell Earns Victory For Fusion 2002A In No-Hitter Against Nevada Hotshots At Triple Crown World Series

Lindsay Bell was brilliant in the circle on Friday, as she threw a complete game no-hitter to lead Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A past Nevada Hotshots 6-0 in the playoffs at the Triple Crown World Series in Park City Utah. Catcher Mya Galbraith was stellar behind the plate calling the game.
Fusion  secured the victory thanks to four runs in the first inning. Carlie Lawrence and Izzy Nicholson each had RBIs in the big inning.
Fusion opened up scoring in the first inning, when Lawrence hit a solo homer over the center field fence.
Bell was credited with the victory for Fusion. She surrendered zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out ten in the mercy win over the Hotshots. Bell recorded her 500th strikeout as a Fusion pitcher over two seasons.
Fusion hit one home run on the day. Lawrence went for the long ball in the first inning.
Fusion had nine hits in the game. Shaneika Hollingworth, Mya Galbraith, and Lawrence all had multiple hits for Fusion. Hollingworth led Fusion with three hits in three at bats.

Fraser​ Valley Fusion 2002A seized victory in thier first playoff game at the Triple Crown World Series in Park City Utah in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off error at the end of the game to topple So Cal Darkside. The game was tied at eight with Fusion  batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for Fusion.
Despite falling down by six runs in the second inning, So Cal Darkside tried to fight back. So Cal Darkside scored eight runs in the failed comeback. 
In the first inning, Fusion got their offense started when Mya Galbraith grounded out, scoring one run.
Fusion notched five runs in the second inning. Carlie Lawrence, Madison MacGillivray, and Summer King each drove in runs during the inning.
Fusion pick up pitcher from Kelowna Heat Tori Kover was credited with the victory for Fusion. She allowed one hit and zero runs over one and one-third innings, walking zero. Lindsay Bell threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Shaneika Hollingworth started the game for Fusion. She lasted three innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out three
Fusion tallied 13 hits in the game. MacGillivray, Galbraith, and Kaylee Walcott all managed multiple hits for Fusion. MacGillivray led Fusion with four hits in four at bats.

Fraser Valley Fusion defeated Delta Heat 2001A in a single elimination playoff game at the Canada Cup International Softball Championship at Softball City in Surrey BC.
Early Lead For Fusion 2002A Sets Stage For Victory Over Heat 01
Fusion grabbed an early lead on its way to a 10-3 victory over Heat 01 on Friday. Fusion scored on an error, a fielder's choice by Shaneika Hollingworth, a fielder's choice by Izzy Nicholson, and a single by Rachel Brissette in the first inning.
Fusion secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning. Fusion 's big bats in the inning were led by fielder's choices by Hollingworth and Nicholson, a single by Brissette, and an error on a ball put in play by Maggie Tomlinson.
Lindsay Bell got the win for Fusion. She allowed six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out four.
Fusion racked up 11 hits in the game. Madison MacGillivray, Mattisen Henrotte, Hollingworth, and Brissette all had multiple hits for Fusion. Brissette, Hollingworth, Henrotte, and MacGillivray each collected two hits to lead Fusion. Fusion was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Mya Galbraith had the most chances in the field with four.

Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A have advanced to the championship round at the Canada Cup International Softball Championship in the Futures Gold division. Fusion battled to a record of 4 wins and 2 losses and finished the pool play in 7th position in the 20 team tournament. The top 12 teams advanced to the championship round and the balance of the teams play in the consolation round. Fusion will take on the 10th place team, TriCity Titans at 8:00 am at Sunnyside Park, Surrey BC on Friday in the first playoff game.

Even though Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A gave up three runs in the first inning, they still defeated Aloha Breeze 9-5 on Thursday. 
In the first inning, Fusion got their offense started. Mya Galbraith singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
In the top of the second inning, Fusion tied things up at three. Galbraith drove in one when she singled.
Fusion pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Galbraith singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs, Maggie Tomlinson grounded out, scoring one run, Shaneika Hollingworth singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Izzy Nicholson tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Hollingworth earned the victory on the rubber for Fusion. She surrendered five runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out six.
Fusion saw the ball well today, racking up 15 hits in the game. Madison MacGillivray, Galbraith, Tomlinson, Hollingworth, and Carlie Lawrence all collected multiple hits for Fusion . Galbraith and MacGillivray all had three hits to lead Fusion.

Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A extended their winning streak to three games at the Canada Cup International Softball Championship with a 4-1 win over Lloydministers Liners U19 on Wednesday.
Fusion got on the board in the second inning. Kaylee Walcott hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run.
Mattisen Henrotte was in the pitcher's circle for Fusion. She lasted three innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out one and walking zero. Lindsay Bell pitched in relief and earned the save.  Bell went four innings allowing one hit, zero runs and striking out five.
Fusion tallied eight hits in the game. Maggie Tomlinson and Jessica Seward each managed multiple hits for Fusion. Tomlinson led Fusion with three hits in four at bats. Fusion  was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Summer King had the most chances in the field with six.

Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A improved their winning record to 2-0 at the Canada Cup International Softball Championship and coasted to an easy victory over Sherwood Park Storm U19A 9-1 on Tuesday.
Fusion got on the board in the first inning when an error scored one run for Fusion.
Fusion put up four runs in the second inning. Fusion put the pressure on, lead by singles by Summer King and Carlie Lawrence and a double by Jessica Seward.
Shaneika Hollingworth led the Fusion to victory on the rubber. She lasted five innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out three and walking one.
Fusion racked up ten hits. Seward, Lawrence, and Kaylee Walcott all had multiple hits for Fusion.  Seward led Fusion with three hits in four at bats.

​With Lindsay Bell On The Mound, Fusion Shuts Out Sundodgers 18U At Canada Cup International Softball Championship

Lindsay Bell threw a nine inning shutout to lead Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A past Sundodgers 18U 1-0 on Monday at the Canada Cup International Softball Championship.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Bell struck out 15, while Delaney Glazer sat down five.
One bright spot for Sundodgers was a single in the second inning.
Bell took the win for Fusion. She surrendered zero runs on three hits over nine innings, striking out 15.
Glazer took the loss for Sundodgers. She allowed four hits and one run over nine innings, striking out five and walking zero.
In the top of the ninth inning Madison MacGillivary moved Jessica Seward to third with a sacrifice bunt. Seward went on to score the winning run on a ground out by Mya Galbraith. 
Kaylee Walcott, Shaneika Hollingworth, Maggie Tomlinson, and Mattisen Henrotte each collected one hit to lead Fusion. Fusion didn't commit a single error in the field. Galbraith had 16 chances in the field, the most on the team.

FUSION 2002A WILL TAKE ON NEW ZEALAND u23 NATIONAL TEAM

Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A will take on New Zealand's U23 National Team in an exhibition doubleheader on Saturday July 6, 2019. Both teams are preparing for next weeks Canada Cup International Softball Championship. New Zealand will be playing in the women's division and Fusion will be playing in the Futures Gold division.
