![]() Fraser Valley Fusion 02A faced the 2018 U14A National Champions, Surrey Storm 03A on Saturday at Softball City in Surrey BC. Fusion took the lead late in the game in a 7-3 victory over Surrey Storm 03A. The game was tied at two with Fraser Valley Fusion batting in the bottom of the fifth when Mya Galbraith singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Fusion opened up scoring in the first inning, when Nicole Sparrow doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. ![]() Lindsay Bell took the win for Fusion 02A. She went six innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out five. Abby took the loss for Surrey Sorm 03A. She lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing 11 hits and seven runs while striking out three. Fraser Valley Fusion 02A collected 11 hits. Izzy Nicholson, Brooke De Jong, and Brooklyn Morrison all collected multiple hits for Fraser Valley Fusion Nicholson led Fusion with three hits in three at bats. Fraser Valley Fusion 2002 Girls Fastpitch Softball Team held its first annual Poker Night FUNdraiser on Saturday at Clayton Hall in Surrey BC. Attendees were treated to a night of great food, raffles, silent auction and a Texas Hold’em poker tournament. Fusion 2002 is thankful for the support of our community, volunteers and sponsors who were instrumental in making this event a wonderful experience for our guests. Congratulations to David Slater who, after over five hours of competitive and exciting poker action, was crowned champion at Fraser Valley Fusion 2002’s 1st Annual Poker Night FUNdraiser.
