Lindsay Bell shut down Aloha Breeze, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A to a 6-0 victory on Saturday at USA Softball's Stars 'N' Stripes Forever Tournament in Salem Oregon.
Fusion 2002A got things moving in the first inning, when Shaneika Hollingworth singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. Fusion 2002A put up three runs in the fifth inning. Fusion 2002A scored its runs on a home run by Summer King. One bright spot for Aloha Breeze was a single by Aloha Breeze in the second inning. Bell led the Fusion 2002A to victory in the pitcher's circle. She went five innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out ten. Fusion 2002A smacked one home run on the day. King had a dinger in the fifth inning. Fusion 2002A racked up ten hits in the game. Jessica Seward, Mya Galbraith, and Kaylee Walcott all collected multiple hits for Fusion 2002A. Galbraith and Seward all had three hits to lead Fusion 2002A. Fusion 2002A didn't commit a single error in the field. Galbraith had the most chances in the field with 11.
