With the 2018 season just around the corner, Fraser Valley Fusion 2002’s new coaching staff are excited about the upcoming 2018 season and look forward to challenging for a National Championship. The new look staff and Fusion roster will take to the field for exhibition games on March 24, icebreaker tournaments March 3 to April 1st at Softball City in Surrey BC and April 6 to 8th at North Delta Community Park in Delta BC. The majority of Fusion’s games will be streamed live. For more information on viewing Fusion’s live stream visit FRASER VALLEY FUSION 2002A (16'A)- LIVE VIDEO STREAM The 2018 season will see Fusion participate in eleven additional tournaments including local tournaments in BC, travel tournaments in Washington and Oregon as well as the U16A Canadian National Championships in Winnipeg Manitoba. The regular season will consist of 22 games in Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Fusion’s full 2018 schedule is posted on their website at FUSION 2002 – 2018 SCHEDULE. ![]() Fusion Head Coach, Jeff Donegan started his coaching career in competitive springboard and platform diving where he coached Junior Men's and Women's National divers. Jeff's athletes won over 100 medals in various provincial, national, and international competitions including three gold medals at the World Championships. When Jeff's son Brendon made the transition from diving to softball it was a natural and easy transition to coaching as Jeff had over a decade of playing experience. Since that time Jeff has qualified many teams to both Western Canadian and National Championships. Several of his athletes have gone on to compete at the BC Summer Games, Western Canada Games, Canada Games, and World Junior Championships. In 2011, Team BC for the Western Canada Games consisted of 8 players from Jeff's U16 A team. In 2016, Jeff had five former players qualify for the Canada Games and In 2015 he sent eleven club members to try out for the Junior Men's National Team and one went on to compete in several tournaments for Team Canada. ![]() Fusion Assistant Coach, Lindsea Cutt grew up playing ball in the interior of BC before going to the United States to Play College ball. By trade she is a catcher but has years of experience in coaching hitting and all aspects of the game. She has had several athletes qualify for the BC Summer Games, NAIG Team BC, Team BC (for the Canada Games) as well as western and national championships. Lindsea is a passionate energetic coach who's love for the game shines brightly. Since her playing days she has always worn the number 14 and you can often find her at the ball field even on her days off from coaching. Lindsay is a certified level 2 coach. ![]() Fusion Assistant Coach Brendon Donegan has played softball for 16 years and has competed internationally for 4 years. In 2014, Brendon as a 16 year old was named as an alternate to the Junior Men's National Softball Team. He traveled and lived in Saskatchewan where he trained with Team Canada's pitching coach. He spent 4 years in the Junior Men's program and it has sky rocketed his softball career. In 2017 he pitched for the Great Britain Senior Men's National Team and pitched an amazing game against the World Champion New Zealand Black Sox. He has won numerous MVP awards and was named the 2016 ASA Men's National Batting Champion. A certified level 2 coach, Brendon has worked with many athletes who have gone on to compete for Team BC, NAIG Team BC, as well as many A division Club Teams. Having spent years competing for Team BC , Canada, and most recently Great Britain.
