Fraser Valley Fusion 02A defeated Powered By Mizuno All American Arizona 16U 13-1 on Saturday thanks to eight runs in the fifth inning. Carlie Lawrence, Maggie Tomlinson, Lindsay Bell, Rachel Brissette, Summer King, and Brooke De Jonge all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
In the first inning, Fusion 02A got their offense started when Tomlinson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring three runs. Fusion 02A scored eight runs in the fifth inning. Lawrence, Tomlinson, Bell, Brissette, King, and De Jonge all drove in runs in the frame. Shaneika Hollingworth was credited with the victory for Fusion 02A. She surrendered one run on four hits over five innings, striking out nine. Fusion 02A tallied 17 hits. Hollingworth, De Jonge, Izzy Nicholson, Tomlinson, King, and Brissette all collected multiple hits for Fusion 02A. Hollingworth led Fusion 02A with four hits in four at bats. Fusion 02A didn't commit a single error in the field. Brissette had the most chances in the field with nine.
