Fraser Valley Fusion Claims Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat White Rock Renegades
Fraser Valley Fusion ran off with the lead late in the game in a 10-8 victory over White Rock Renegades on Wednesday. The game was tied at eight with Fraser Valley Fusion batting in the top of the fifth when Carlie Lawrence doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs. Fraser Valley Fusion built a six-run lead in the third inning and then held off White Rock Renegades charge. White Rock Renegades scored eight runs in the failed comeback on two errors in the third, an error in the fourth and a double. Lindsay Bell earned the win for Fraser Valley Fusion. She allowed four hits and one earned run over five innings, striking out nine. Fraser Valley Fusion racked up 15 hits. Brooke De Jonge, Brooklyn Morrison, Izzy Nicholson, Maile Johnson, and Rachel Brissette each had multiple hits for Fusion.
