A rare occurrence happened at Langley Fastball Association's U16A tournament, Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A dropped a decision to an opponent and found themselves playing for a bronze medal. Fusion had been riding a thirteen game undefeated streak.
Fusion took on their sister team Fraser Valley Fusion 2003A in the final game. Shaneika Hollingworth didn't allow a single run as Fusion 02A defeated Fusion 03A 2-0 on Sunday. Hollingworth allowed just one hit. while striking out 11. Brooke De Jonge led Fraser Valley Fusion 02A with two hits in two at bats. With the win, Fusion 02A took home the bronze medal.
