Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over White Rock Renegades 2003A
Fusion nabbed the lead late in the game in a 4-2 victory over Renegades in Sunday's semi final match at Langley Fastball Association's annual U16A tournament. In the bottom of the third inning, Fusion tied things up at when Nicole Sparrow singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. The game still tied at two with Fusion batting in the bottom of the fifth when Nicole Sparrow doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring the go ahead run.
Shaneika Hollingworth was the winning pitcher for Fusion. She surrendered two runs on six hits over six innings, striking out ten and walking zero. Fusion tallied ten hits in the game. Sparrow, Brooke De Jong, and Hollingworth each had multiple hits for Fusion. Sparrow went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Fusion in hits. "Powered by Narrative Science and GameChanger Media.
