It came down to the wire on Saturday at the Pride & Power Tournament in Surrey, with Fraser Valley Fusion 02A taking victory on a dramatic walk-off fielder's choice by Rachel Brissette in the late innings that sealed their victory over Fraser Valley Fusion 03A. The game was tied at five with Fusion 02A batting in the bottom of the fifth when Lennox Ali induced Brissette to hit into a fielder's choice, but winning run scored.
In the first inning, Fusion 02A got their offense started. Mya Galbraith drove in one when she singled. Fusion 02A scored three runs in the third inning. The rally was led by a single by Brooke De Jonge, a groundout by Shaneika Hollingworth, and an error on a ball put in play by Galbraith. Hollingworth earned the win for Fusion 02A.
