Mattisen Henrotte Leads The Way For Fusion 2002

3/27/2019

Mattisen Henrotte may be new to Fraser Valley Fusion 2002 this season but she is already proving to be a leader both on and off the field.
Picture
Mattisen joins the team as the only 2019 graduation year player on a roster of younger players that will graduate in 2020. Fusion is jumping up from the U16 division and will play this season as a U19 team.

Mattisen has already played a full season in the U19 division and her experience in the pitching circle, first base and in the dugout will certainly help the rest of the team make the adjustment to the higher level of play. Mattisen's powerful bat will certainly provide a lot of exciting offence this season.

Mattisen Henrotte is leading the way
This 2019 season is an important year for Fusion because this is the season that many players hope to be noticed by colleges and universities looking for future athletes for their programs. Mattisen Henrotte is leading the way and is the first Fusion player to agree to continue her academic and softball career at the university level. Mattisen will graduate this season and next year will be attending Black Hills State University in South Dakota as a member of the NCAA Division 2 Yellow Jackets.

"Fraser Valley Fusion would like to congratulate Mattisen Henrotte and the entire Henrotte family on her signing with the Black Hills State University Yellow Jackets NCAA Division 2. Fusion is extremely proud of Mattisen and we urge everyone to come and watch Mattisen play this season with Fusion 02. Mattisen will bring her same high energy and long ball hits to South Dakota !!!" said Fusion head coach Jeff Donegan.

Fraser Valley Fusion will take to the field for the first time in 2019 on Friday March 29th at Softball City in Surrey BC., in an iceBreaker tournament hosted by the White Rock Renegades.  Fusion games will be streamed live via Facebook Live, so if you cannot make it to the park make sure you tune in to the live stream at:

FRASER VALLEY FUSION 2002A TAKE TOP SPOT IN ARIZONA
November 4, 2018
- Phoenix Arizona - Langley British Columbia Canada based Fraser Valley Fusion 2002A (16U gold) girls fastpitch team continued their winning ways against top USA competition from Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Fusion are now undefeated in thirteen straight games played at Triple Crown Sports college recruitment showcase tournaments held October 12-14 in Medford Oregon and November 2-4 in Phoenix Arizona.
This past weekend Fusion earned the top spot at the Arizona FroShow in Phoenix winning five consecutive games while outscoring their opponents 40-4 including two shutout victories and a no-hitter. In October Fusion had similar results in Medford sweeping their opponents over eight games played while outscoring their opponents 58-24.
Fusion head coach Jeff Donegan stated, "Finishing in first place in Phoenix with a 5-0 record and only allowing 4 runs against is a tremendous accomplishment for our girls. We are now 13-0 in our first two US Triple Crown Sports tournaments in the 16U gold bracket. The girls are playing great ball and still have room to improve. There was a ton of interest from multiple scouts at various levels and I am confident more to come as we attend future events in the states". Fusion attended the two fall tournaments with an active roster of only ten players including two pitchers. Donegan added "I can't wait to see what this team can do when we can field our full compliment of players".
Fusion will now concentrate on off season training and will take to the field again in the spring of 2019.

Fraser Valley Fusion 2002 (16U Gold) girls fastpitch softball team is located in Langley British Columbia Canada and brings together select softball players from the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver region.
